The history of Laudrup Vin & Gastronomi begins in 1990 when the families Laudrup and Buhl met each other in Spain where they both worked. They soon developed a passionate interest in Spanish wines and Spanish food culture. When they returned to Denmark in 1993, they started to import a few bottles, mainly for friends and family. Slowly the business began to accelerate with 500.000 bottles sold in 2008. Currently, both Per Buhl and his wife Gitte Line Buhl work full time in the family business, where a total of 15 people are employed.

Although initially we were specialized in wine and delicacy from Spain, seven other great wine producing countries have stolen a bit of our hearts: Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Argentine, Austria, France and Germany.

Since the beginning of 2000 we have had Australia and New Zealand in our wine selection, since 2003 Argentine, and Chile came into our assortment in 2004. In 2007 we started to import wines from Austria and Germany.

On February the 1st, 2003 Laudrup Vin & Gastronomi took over all activities in New Zealand Wine, founded by Christian Bach in 1995 when he returned to Denmark after 4 years in New Zealand. New Zealand Wine had one of the best wine selections in Denmark and we hope that this merge will result in increased focus on wine from New Zealand. Christian Bach is now market responsible for New Zealand.

On the 15th of April, 2005 we took over the activities from the Italian specialist A.D. Selection Wines founded by Mr. Antonio Doni, and added his portfolio to ours - now comprising ten wineries from Italy.

Laudrup Vin & Gastronomi aims to offer the best possible quality at reasonable prices. We source the wines directly from the producer and only cooperates with wineries who are willing to grant us exclusive distribution rights in Denmark. We endeavour to visit our suppliers every year, either on our own or together with journalists and customers. This way we are always up-to-date with the latest harvests, wine ageing, development, and other news.
