"This is a very approachable grenache blend that shows rich yet tangy raspberries, redcurrants, leather, red licorice and tar. Full-bodied and fleshy on the palate, which is punctuated by some really good acidity and firmness to the tannins. Drink now."

"I've always thought the Garnacha from Caliboro must be Garnacha Tintorera, such is the dark color and the earthiness of the 2017 Bagual Vineyard Garnacha Field Blend. This wine always has firm tannins and is closer to the expression of a Priorat rather than a Garnacha from Gredos. Apparently, it is a Catalan clone, a gift from Miguel Torres after the earthquake of 2010. It comes from a vineyard on the banks of the Perquilauquen River that belongs to the Solar family. Caliboro was far away from the fires, but the year was still warm. The wine is 14.4% alcohol but has a low pH (3.29) and good acidity (6.7 grams of tartaric). This is the Lot # 89. 2,371 bottles were filled in January 2019."
