"The 2018 L'Enclos des Remparts Franc de Pied MMXVIII is from a southwest-facing lieu-dit in Sancerre planted with selections
from the grandfathers of the current owners. The wine offers a clear, intense and concentrated bouquet of fully ripe fruits, crushed
almonds and flint stones. Pure, fresh and vital on the palate, this is a a full-bodied, concentrated, very elegant, tensioned and
Chablis-like Sancerre with fine tannins, hazelnut flavors and a long, powerful and citric finish. It is very dense, very rich and juicy
as well as intense, even with raisin aromas. The 2018 drinks beautifully today, but remembering how the older vintages drink, I'd
enjoy the wine earlier rather than later. I'd drink it over the next 8 years, during which the wine might even improve. Tasted from
two different bottles in mid- and later February 2021."
